Permanent Jewelry Care Guide
Your permanent jewelry is dainty & delicate but not indestructible and whether it's 14K gold-filled, sterling silver, or stainless steel proper care is essential. Follow these guidelines to keep it looking its best:
💧 General Care Tips
Avoid Chemicals: Keep your jewelry away from bleach, chlorine and harsh cleaning products.
Perfume & Lotions: Apply skincare, perfume, or lotions carefully to avoid direct contact with your jewelry.
Beach & Pools: Limit exposure to seawater, heavily chlorinated pools and hot tubs, as these can cause discoloration.
Avoid Impact: Be cautious during physical activities to prevent scratches, stretching or snapping.
🧼 Cleaning & Maintenance
Aftercare Rinse: After swimming, exercising, or applying products, rinse your jewelry with lukewarm water. Gently rub with your fingers and pat dry with a soft cloth.
Daily Wipe-Down: Use a soft, clean cloth to gently remove sweat, oils, and debris.
Deep Cleaning: Mix lukewarm water with mild soap. Use a soft toothbrush (used only for jewelry) to gently scrub your piece, especially in intricate areas. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.
📏 Sizing & Fit
Your permanent jewelry is custom-fitted to your wrist, ankle or neck at the time of welding to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
-
Snug but not tight: The chain should sit comfortably on your skin without digging in. A small amount of movement is normal and helps prevent tension or breakage.
-
Swelling & heat: Your body may naturally swell slightly due to heat, exercise, or hormonal changes. This is normal and temporary.
-
Children or younger clients: If fitted at a young age, please note that permanent jewelry will not adjust with growth. We recommend rechecking the fit periodically.
If you ever feel your jewelry is too loose, please get in touch with us — we’re happy to assess or adjust it for you, however if your jewelry is too tight a new chain/connector/clasp will need to be purchased to add length.
💡 Please Note
While your jewelry is designed for daily wear, longevity depends on your care, lifestyle, and skin chemistry.
Tarnishing is normal with sterling silver and not a sign of poor quality. Even the most expensive solid gold can tarnish due to factors like:
Sweat
Skincare products
Hormonal changes (e.g. pregnancy)
Low iron or acidic pH levels
⚠️ Responsibility & Repairs
Your jewelry is under your care once welded. It is delicate, but shouldn’t break easily if properly looked after.
We offer one complimentary re-welding within 7 days of fitting (with the original chain)
After this, re-welding will incur a 25 AED charge.
We do not cover damage, breakage, loss, tarnishing, or mishandling of any chains or charms once worn.
